Community Center
We are in need of funding for, or the donation of, a building where we can create an intergenerational community center.
Our idea for this space would be a place where we can hold our neighborhood group meetings. Where we can hold events. A place where we can hold classes to teach parenting, coping and computer skills.
Greenhouse
We are in need of funding for, or the donation of, a building for our community garden. Our garden supplies food for free to the homeless, struggling families and seniors. At this time we are only able to meet the needs of our community during the normal harvesting season. Building a greenhouse will enable us to provide food to the community year round.
Intergenerational Park
(Knodell Park Renovation)
We are in need of funding for, or the donation of, equipment, materials and/or time to renovate Knodell Park.
We are looking for playground equipment, landscaping, concrete chess tables and chairs, park benches and a walking path for seniors. For security we are open to suggestions such as fencing, solar power for nighttime lighting
and the lights themselves and/or solar powered wireless security cameras.
